What I Learned From Two Weeks of Doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge!

What I Learned From Two Weeks of Doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge

Here we are two weeks into the blogging challenge.  Time goes by so fast.  In the first week, I was without a computer for a couple of days.  I did manage to catch-up with the challenge.  I have learned so much from doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge.

1.  I learned that  I blog or write for myself
2. If, I want to make money with my blog I need to do things differently
3.  I need to write much more than what I do
4. I need to have detailed  plan for my blogging

I learned I Blog for Myself Doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge

Learning that I blog for myself during the Ultimate Blog Challenge is nothing new.  We all blog for ourselves.  We love to write, and we want to share what we love to do with other.  What I did realize, is that if I want to make money with my blogs, I have to look at them a little bit differently.

I have always had a layback look at blogging.  While, there is nothing wrong with having a laidback view of blogging. I am not going to make any money doing things this way. If,  want to make money with my blog; I am going to have to do things differently.

I Learned From the Ultimate Blog Challenge That I Need to thing Differently

I love to write; that is why I started blogging in the first place.  I was writing on many different writing sites.  These writing sites were disappearing like hotcakes.  They were all going out of business.  Many other writers that I know starting their blogs because of this.  I jumped right in and decided to start blogging myself.

I have also written because I enjoy writing.  Making money from my blog would be nice, but it did not matter if I made money or not.  Well, that wasn't entirely true.  I was hoping that I would make money with my blogs.  I never thought of looking at my blogs as a business.

I learned I Need to Write More From the Ultimate Blog Challenge

I only post to my blogs when I feel like it.  I  need to a plan for any of my blogs.  I have read up a lot on affiliate marketing, business planning, and advertising or promoting.

Doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge in only weeks I have gotten as many views to this blog as it has taken in six months of working on the other blogs. On of the reasons for that is because I have been posting here every day.

I Learned From Doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge that I Need to have a Plan for My Blog

I have learned from doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge that I need to have a detailed plan for my blogs.  There is no way that I will even stop writing for fun.  Writing is just a part of my soul.

I have realized, I want to set up, my main blog differently.  I want to make up a detailed plan for the Spiritual Mystic.  I also want to do a lot more posting there.  I will start off by looking at the Spiritual Mystic blog more as a business.

I have learned a lot so far from doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge, and it is only half over.  I am sure that I will pick up a lot more tips and great advice from other bloggers on how to make my blogs much better.  Have you learned anything from doing the Ultimate Blog Challenge?

Edgar Allan Poe

I am a huge fan of Edgar Allan Poe's Poems and short stories.  One on my favorite actors is Vincent Price.  Many of Vincent Price's movies were made from Edgar Allan Poe's writings.

I love Edgar Allan Poe so much, one year for Christmas my husband got me this lovely book.  The book is a collection of most of Edgar Allan Poe's works.  I have read this book from front to back many times.  If you do not know I am somewhat of a book collector.  This book is hardcover with beautiful silver laced pages.

If you are a fan of strange stories, I am sure you would love reading anything by Edgar Allan Poe.  I am also sure you would enjoy most of the movies that Vincent Price starred in.

Writing Through the Soul

Writing Through The Soul

Most writers do write through the soul.  They share their souls with the world through their writing.  I have always love to write.  When I was a young girl, I wrote many short stories and a lot of poetry.  Poetry can be the most like writing through the soul, as you share your deepest feeling in a poem.  Of course, any form of writing can be writing through the soul.

When you are writing articles, depending on what your relationship to the topic is, you could be writing through the soul.  When writing articles, your feelings do come through to your readers.

There was a time in my life when I would not share my writing with other.  I was afraid they would not like it.  When I got older, I realized that I do not write for other people I write for myself.  Writing makes me very happy.  Writing is a part of who I am.  I am lost when I am not writing.  Still, this changed once again.  Writing became a way of sharing my knowledge of the things that I love.  Writing to me has become a way for me to help other people.  Writing for me has become or, I should say has always been, but I just discovered my life purpose.  I will continue writing through the soul until the day I die.

Worst Year Ever and Only Two Weeks Into 2017

Worst Year Ever and Only Two Weeks Into 2017

Worst year ever and only two weeks into 2017.  Alright, I maybe overdoing it a little.  But, the fact remains 2017 is not starting off well for me at all.  I do hope things will start looking up over the next couple of months.

What Made 2017 the Worst Year Ever.

What made 2017 the worst year ever.  I decided to do the Ultimate Blog Challenge for the first time.  Three days into the Ultimate Blog Challenge my computer dies on me.  I was without a computer for fours days.  For me, no computer means I can not make any money.  I did manage to catch up on the Ultimate Blog Challenge.

I have been having problems with my Google account.  I could not reply to anyone's comments on any of my blogs.  The number readings were all wrong all over the place.  I had been messaging technical support for some time with no reply.  Finally, I had to remove everything from my browser and redo the whole thing.  The good news is that it worked.

What Made 2017 the Worst Year Ever With My Family

My whole house has been sick.  We all have bad colds, and I think we keep giving it back and forth to one another.  I have been cleaning like crazy and doing wash every day.  I am hoping this will help.

I was told by my dog's vet that she has cancer and there is nothing they can do to help her.  She is on meds but that it all.  She is fifteen years old, and that is good for a dachshund.  They said she may not make it through the winter.  But, my dog is a fighter, and I know she will live longer than the vets say she will.  She is not in any pain and so far nothing is blocked.  That could change though and could become a problem.

Every time We turn around there is something new going wrong with my husband's car.  He has had it in the shop three times already this year with different problems each time.  The car's problems is making it hard to pay all of our bills, and that is never a good thing.

Why I Still Try to be Positive Even Though 2017 the Worst Year Ever

One thing is for sure in life, and that is things change.  Sometimes things change for the better, and sometimes things change for the worse.  If I wait long enough,  things will get better.

Do You know When to Walk Away?

Do you know when to walk away? Do you do the same thing over and over again?  Are you making progress or are you at a standstill? Having you been working long and hard but feel like you are getting nowhere? Then maybe it is a time for the change.

Perhaps, you need to look at what you are doing and find our where you can improve!  Perhaps, you have already done this and have discovered that there is nothing more that you can do.  You are at a standstill. Now, you must decide, is what you are doing worth doing anymore! Is there anything that you can do to improve the results that you are getting? Is there something that you can change to improve your results?

What happens when you feel like you have been working hard and getting nowhere at all?  What happens when you feel like there is nothing more that you can do to grow and success?  Do you know when it is time to walk away from a project?  Could you walk away from doing something that you love even though you know it's not working for you?  Do you know when it's time to walk away!

Perhaps, you just need time to rethink things.  Or maybe you need to get another point a view.  But, what happens when you have tried all of these things and others are telling you it's time to quiet?  Do you know when it's time to walk away?

Could you, would you walk away from something that you loved, if you know it was not working out for you?  Do you know when it is time to walk away and try something new?  After ten years of working with your heart and soul poured into what you do, but seeing nothing in return, would you walk away or would you carry-on. Neither way is right or wrong.  After all, it is you who has to do what you do.

But, what happens if you know deep down in your heart that it is time to move on.  But there is something that stops you so you carry-on.  In your heart you know it's time to walk away and try something.  It's time to try your love in a whole new way.  Then, would you walk away?

When Writing Gets You Down

When writing gets you down, there must be something very wrong.  When a person who had loved to write all the life no longer gets joy from writing, they have to change something.

Maybe they are writing for other people and have been doing it for so long that they have lost the joy of writing. When you have a love for writing, you must take the time to write things that you enjoy writing about.  If you are a writer and you are only doing it for the money, it is easy to just for the money,  and write about anything at all.

Many people have writing in their souls.  When they write, they are sharing part of their souls with their readers.  It is these people that I am referring to if they don't take the time to write what they love writing no longer is fun for them. It's as if they have given up part of their soul to make money.  They are the writers who write for the joy of writing.  They are also the ones that seem to have something special in everything that they write.  You can almost feel their love for writing coming through. But, that only happens when they are writing about things they enjoy writing about.

Making it Through the Winter Blues

Making it Through the Winter Blues

Wintertime is hard for most people.  There is less time to be outside.  The cold weather can cause many different problems that one needs to overcome.  Many people find this time of year very depressing. Making it through the winter blues is not always easy.

Writing Through the Winter Blues

I have always felt blessed to have a love of writing.  Writing has always been a type of therapy for me throughout the whole life. When a was younger, I wrote poetry all the times.  Poetry is a great way to release emotions.

I still write as a way of therapy.  Writing in any form has always helped me.  Writing is a blessing to me.  Writing has helped me to understand myself better.  It has helped to share my knowledge with other.  Writing has been one of the ways I help myself get over the winter blues.

Listen to Music to Help With the Winter Blues

B.B. King and Eric Clapton Riding with the King
                                        From YouTube posted by RuiLourenço

Everyone loves music of some type. Listening to your favorite band or favorite song can be a great pick me up.  You can dance and sing along with the music, this will but you in a better mood.

Friends Will Help Take Away the Winter Blue

Sometimes being alone is not the best thing when you are down.   Talking to your friends can cheer you up.  Or going out for tea or lunch.
Spending time with other can lift your spirits.  Just be careful whom you chose to spend your time with.  Some people can be very draining and depressing, not the type of people you want to be around when you are trying to be over the winter blues.
